Businesses in underserved communities have traditionally lacked access to financial resources and investment, putting them at a disadvantage to grow, compete, and hire from within the community. When businesses don’t thrive, neither do individuals and communities.

OPPORTUNITY

We believe investing in businesses that create jobs and opportunities in the communities we serve is a sustainable and smart investment. Our Local reach allows us to find local entrepreneurs and business leaders looking to grow financially but also create solutions to strengthen community ecosystems. Ability is everywhere, but the opportunity is not.

We need to increase access to business investment capital, and one of the best ways to do that is to invest with diverse investment teams. We invest in funds with diverse fund management teams.

IMPACT

LISC business investing strategy centers around providing investments to promising businesses in low-to-moderate-income communities, with a particular focus on businesses led by diverse owners and entrepreneurs. We invest in:
