The Cleveland Housing Investment Fund (CHIF) is a partnership aimed at building strong and resilient neighborhoods in Cleveland. Our mission is to create wealth and generate income within communities through affordable housing investments. We focus on preserving and building mixed-income rental housing in key neighborhoods, offering financial support at below-market rates. Our target is middle-income renters and homebuyers, especially those earning at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

CHIF intends to fund projects that include amenities like childcare, retail, and community facilities. We will invest in neighborhoods, boosting the capacity of local and nonprofit developers. Our strategy supports transit-oriented development and sustainability, focusing on rehabilitating and clustering properties to stabilize neighborhoods. CHIF is committed to creating vibrant, inclusive communities through smart investments in Cleveland's housing market.
