Local Detroiter single mom of two, aged 3 and 5, recently found affordable living at DHFF investment - The Belnord.
Going through a financially stressful life transition, the local Detroiter is happy to have found a place that met her key criteria: 1) a safe area 2) a reasonable area for schooling, and 3) the ability to walk to work. We are happy this family has a warm and safe place to celebrate the holidays!

Taco Block is prepared to bring its delicious tacos and churros with ice cream to more locations! Co-Owners Adrian Bonilla and Brenda Garcia have long been in the food services industry for over 16 years. With the $200,000 investment from the Colorado BIPOC Micro Equity Program, they are now ready to expand their distribution of fresh Mexican food to new foodies!

Lake Mist Apartments offers affordable housing and hope for the future
Single mother Lauren* recently found solace and stability in Lake Mist Apartments, a Charlotte Housing Opportunity Investment Fund portfolio project. The affordable housing complex has seen immense improvements under its new management - granting Lauren and her 21-month-old son a safe, secure & healthy space to start anew. Priding on this newfound security and support from a local non-profit, she is now looking ahead and saving to purchase a place of her own one day!
